Founded in 2024 in response to growing concerns over escalating global tensions and the need for a practical and effective system that incorporates American Kenpo and street fighting techniques, Master Aaron Johnston continues to expand on the late Grand Master Brian Thompson’s Tornado Kenpo to offer training in more than simple self-defense.
At JTK Academy, students can learn Tornado Kenpo and undergo SERE (Survive Evade Resist Escape) training as part of Aaron’s Full Spectrum Survival Training in order to prepare themselves for whatever challenges they may face.
Instruction at JTK Academy is open to all adult (16+) students with regular morning and evening Tornado Kenpo classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and Full Spectrum Survival Training every Saturday. Additionally, Master Johnston also offers FREE Tai Chi courses open to the public weekly on Tuesdays from 8:00 am to 9:00 am at the Veteran Freedom Center.
